China is mainly focused on expanding its influence in Bangladesh through economic investments and infrastructure projects under the Belt and Road Initiative, thereby ensuring its strategic presence in the region. On the other hand, Japan has expressed concern about the situation in Bangladesh, especially the crimes against the Hindu minority, and has not taken these developments well.
